A sustainable management of the agro-ecosystems is defined by a balanced combination of technologies, policies and activities, based on economic principles y ecological factors, in an attempt to maintain or increase the farming production to necessary levels in order to satisfy the growing necessities and aspirations of the ever increasing world population, but without harming the environment.
