Orange Flan

Ingredients:

  • Juice of 6 oranges.
  • 1 cup of brown sugar.
  • 6 egg yolks.
  • 1 cup of white sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon of water.

Preparation method:

  1. Pour the brown sugar and water into a heavy saucepan
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar melts and turns a light caramel colour. Remove from heat. Once cool, pour into the mould.
  3. Mix egg yolks with the white sugar. Mix until you obtain a smooth and thick cream.
  4. Pour the orange juice slowly into the creamy mixture without mixing and pour into the mould with the caramel.
  5. Place into a bain-marie and cook until done.
